Job Description
Cerner is currently hiring a System Engineer I to join the Interoperability team, and in this role, you will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability and perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. As a System Engineer I, you will implement monitoring for applications and servers, and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation; deploy physical and virtual servers; and complete assigned incident management tasks. Working Environment Hybrid or Remote This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #RemoteQualifications Basic Qualifications- 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
- Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
