Job Description
As a System Engineer Il, you will design, install, monitor and support technology infrastructures across Cerner applications and servers. You will perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades and resource optimization. Your end goal is a system built for optimal integrity, recoverability and availability. We are looking for versatile and innovative individuals with experience in a variety of technologies - including but not limited to Linux, Windows, Networking, Batch Scripting, Automation, Database and Virtualization tools. Working Environment Hybrid or Remote This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #RemoteQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year system administration and/or system engineering work experience
- At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
