The Front Desk team is vital to all aspects of the restaurant through managing guest flow, timely seating of guests & providing great first impressions. Each front desk persons primary objective is to give guests the best experience imaginable while maintaining a fun & inviting work atmosphere.

DUTIES:

- Adheres to all guidelines in BarFly Ventures Employee Handbook

- Greets all guests warmly

- Inputs guest information in NoWait & accurately quotes guest wait times

- Navigates guests through the restaurant at their pace

- Seats guests according to their preferences & provides silverware, menus & a friendly farewell

- Provides whatever is needed to make guests experience comfortable & enjoyable

- Follows procedure for taking to go orders

- Monitors timing of product preparation & eagerly delivers products to guests (to go orders, retail)

- Works efficiently with bussers to clean & prepare tables for guests prior to seating

- Executes bathroom checks every 30 minutes

- Maintains neat workspace & sets fellow employees up for success by completing daily side work

- Never leaves the front desk unattended

- Works & communicates well with guests, fellow employees & management

SKILLS: - Executes each shift using a Service State of Mind

- Effective & polite communicator (in person, through email, NoWait, over the phone & via POS)

- Understands how to use NoWait hosting app

- Excellent multi-tasker; operates with grace, prioritizes tasks & acts with a sense of urgency

- Stays well organized with a strong attention to detail

- Able to identify when a product does not meet quality standards & resolve the issue before bringing product to guest

- Able to discuss specific & unique characteristics of menu items

- Great at on-your-feet thinking

- Enjoys meeting & talking to new people

- Dedicated to continuous learning about products & procedures

- Self-awareness; able to maintain composure in a busy, loud environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
