Randstad in partnership with Challenge Manufacturing, a global supplier of automotive structures, is hiring Weld Production Operators for full time, permanent opportunities in Kansas City, MO.Responsibilities:-Working as a member of a team or as an individual, performs various types of welding in multiple work centers as required.-Welding variations are including, but not limited to MIG, spot (resistance), robotic, silicon bronze (MIG), and manual welders, to produce quality parts.-Performs all duties necessary to ensure department and plant meet daily and weekly production requirements.-Frequently loads, unloads, lifts/moves, pulls/pushes, and/or positions products and materials weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally weighing more (assistance given with heavier objects).-Ensures and maintains safety and cleanliness of work area by performing housekeeping duties.-Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow. Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of internal and external customers.Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMSkills:-Ability to use hand tools including, but not limited to; file, hand drill, and disc sander.-6 months experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.-High School Graduate or equivalent.-Able to lift up to 40 lbs.-Able to stand for 8 hours.Education:High SchoolExperience:Entry LevelQualifications:Must submit to pre-hire screening requirements: background check and drug screening.
