Job Description

As a Senior System Security Engineer, you will l ead the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, process and procedures. You will maintain global enterprise security solutions and infrastructure delivering high availability and performance. You will also lead deployment activities related to new solutions and technologies. You will perform system maintenance activities. In this role, you will assess new software releases and patches, contribute to development of test plans, and develop implementation procedures and guidelines. You will lead the design and development of solution performance data collection, alarm and performance criteria and reporting capabilities. You will participate in incident, change and problem management functions. Working Environment Hybrid or Remote This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:
    • At least 2 years information systems security work experience
    • At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Expectations:
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location; preferred location Kansas City
  • Ability to obtain the following certifications within 6 months of employment: A+CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security
  • Strong knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), KMS (Key Management Service) and HSM (Hardware Security Model)
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
