This engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and leading programming software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet related computer programs. This engineer will be a solution lead working on the development of new and enhanced SS&C products for the retirement business.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain modern web apps for use by internal and external customersDesign and lead development of REST APIs and microservices to integrate with internal and external client systemsDesign and lead development for mainframe and SQL solutionsWork with a product owner within an agile team to define, develop, and estimate user stories and epicsWork with BA and QA to create and implement automated BDD testsEnsure the ongoing scalability, security, and maintainability of our productsQualifications:Bachelor's degree and 6 years of work-related experience; or Master's degree and 4 years of work-related experience; or 8 years of equivalent work-related experienceDeveloping and maintaining SaaS applications.Java, JUnit, JPA, Spring.Web/RESTful Services Development.Microservice Development.JavaScript, jQuery, VueJ.js HTML5, CSS3, Jasmine (or other Javascript unit testing frameworks).SQL and relational databasesCOBOLWorking in an agile environment using Scrum.A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills.Flexibility/Ability to be proactive, possesses good problem solving skills and the capability to find solutions and the ability to successfully meet deadlinesLocation:Kansas City MissouriSS&C is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
