We are looking for an energetic and passionate developer that likes to work with a variety of languages and technologies. Our team designs, builds new, and enhances existing services/microservices to handle data ingestion in Hadoop and/or Kafka. In addition, we develop and enhance a web-based UI to manage data metadata and job flows for data ingestion. As long as you have Java experience, and you enjoy learning new technologies, we can teach you the rest!Responsibilities:- Develop and test high velocity data services using tools like Spark, Java, Python, Kafka Connect, KSQL, etc.
- Implementing analytic and sampling jobs in SQL, Spark, and MapReduce.
- Requirements gathering for new core services and enhancing existing core services.
- Support large scale data movement and high-performance service/message oriented architectures.
- 2+ years of software development using Java in a distributed environment. Apache Spark experience a plus.
- 2+ years of experience with SQL-oriented database techniques and technologies.
- Familiarity with message brokers, such as Kafka.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Deep passion for building great software.
