Overview:
Responsible for x-ray imaging at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Will be cross trained in CT if needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and mercy service standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proficient in all areas of radiology, surgery, portables, and plain film.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist program or 6 months of graduation of an accredited Radiological Technologist program.
- Certifications: ARRT Registered in Radiography, or if new graduate registry eligible with the condition of becoming registered within 6 months of hire.
- Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities: able to perform all radiologic exams without direct supervision. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: high stress area, must be able to multi task and remain calm when dealing with customers and physicians. Physical job. Equipment used: GE and Philips C-Arms, GE Portables, GE Rad and Fluoro rooms, Picker Tomo Equipment, Philips rad room, Toshiba 16 slice CT, Visage PACS software and Philips CR equipment.
