BI ETL Developer II

TITLE: Business Intelligence ETL Developer II LOCATION: Maryland Heights, Missouri JOB SUMMARY: Gather requirements, and design, develop, and support new and existing business intelligence solutions. Transform data into meaningful and accurate information that the business can consume. Conduct Query and SQL design, including SQL and stored procedures specific, but not limited to, Teradata. Conduct data collection and distribution and design databases and reports. Utilize the ETL process, including ETL design and development methodologies. Participate in active discussions with team members and users to understand and document business requirements. Design, develop, implement, and support new and existing data integration jobs using Teradata Stored Procedures. Implement best practice solutions per development standards. Produce ad hoc reports to answer business questions. Work closely with business partners in gathering detailed business requirements, establishing business definitions, translating to technical requirements for the development team, and gaining approval. Create test plans and scenarios and conduct testing to ensure quality and requirements traceability to final deliverable. Understand data elements in the warehouse at a very detailed grain to support any form of user needs from research to ad hoc querying to managing large information projects. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve data quality and performance issues. Communicate complex topics and analyses to non-technical business personnel. Use advanced Excel skills to capture and communicate data findings. Provide accurate level of effort estimates for data integration development to management. EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or a closely related field. 4 years of experience in Query and SQL design, including SQL and stored procedures specific, using Teradata; data collection and distribution, including database and report design; designing and developing ETL methodologies; and delivering business intelligence solutions including troubleshooting production issues (data availability), creating analysis data sets through merging (data aggregation) and ensuring that only accurate data is delivered (data accuracy). .
