Job Description

This role is a member of the Ascension Dedicated team directly responsible for supporting one of Cerner's largest clients, Ascension. Ascension is a non-profit health system with over 100 facilities across the United States. As an associate aligned to the Ascension Dedicated team you will be responsible for collaborating and effectively communicating with team members to support Ascensions' strategic initiatives.

As a Data Analyst I, you will analyze, prepare, and process data sets to be consumed for direct insights, statistical modeling or other analytical exploration for internal and external clients. You will access and compile data sets from various sources for exploratory and pre-defined analyses, audit data sets for completeness, validity, and other pertinent data health measures. You will support evaluation of data sets for analytical possibilities and pitfalls, and transform data for specific team functions or processes as appropriate. You will conduct basic statistical testing and exploratory data analysis, create basic data visualizations and consult with stakeholders or clients on data availability quality and outcomes of analysis. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year of Data analytics and/or statistics work experience, including experience in quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, applied programming, data management, data transformation, data visualization and/or quantitative or statistical research, or successful completion of Cerner's Analytics Learning Lab
    • At least 4 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of PowerBI and/or Tableau working experience

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Reside in the Kansas City area or live within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
