Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will design and implement a new approach to review business performance as part of a new Center of Excellence called Business Performance Management - this COE is responsible for the enterprise planning process with key monitoring and review, along with owning the Management Control and Reporting System (MCRS). Furthermore, you will analyze, prepare, and process data sets to be consumed for direct insights. You will leverage your strong interpersonal and communications skills to consult on data and modeling impacts, guiding clients through interdependencies and analysis decision impacts. As a subject matter expert, you will apply expertise to define KPIs for 'performance' - what is being measured; and build a community of practice. You will leverage your analytical skills by evaluating data sets for analytical possibilities and pitfalls; and pinpoint trends, correlations, and patterns in data sets. Additional responsibilities include, transform data as appropriate for specific team functions or processes; create data visualizations leveraging design and data presentation guides, and design and implement Executive Committee dashboards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • At least 2 years of data analytics and/or statistics work experience, including experience in quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, applied programming, data management, data transformation, data visualization and/or quantitative or statistical research
    • At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field of study, or relevant, equivalent work experience

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 40% as needed
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Kansas City area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
