Find your future with us.The Phantom Works Mission Systems (MS) Capability Team is seeking a highly motivated Electronics & Electrical Engineer to design and integrate a Vehicle Management System (VMS)/Mission Computer into future advanced weapon systems . The mission computer will perform the guidance, navigation, and control functions of the vehicle, as well as handle all communication and data storage for all avionics components. The mission computer will interface with the host aircraft and components including: an IMU, Seeker/Sensor, GPS Receiver, Control Actuation System, Power Controller, Datalink Radio, and more.Phantom Works programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. This position may include frequent interaction with subject matter experts, customers, and industry partners. The ability to work in a collaborative multi-engineering environment and expertise managing suppliers will be imperative to this role.Position Responsibilities:

Develop requirements and design for the Vehicle Management System (VMS)/Mission Computer

Design interfaces to other avionics components

Develop system and subsystem models in a model-based system engineering framework

Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture and interface specifications

Work with security and Anti-Tamper teams to satisfy program requirements

Work with software team to satisfy program requirements

Provide technical coordination with external suppliers and customers

Develop and validate requirements for complex sensor systems and components.

Work under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

3+ years of experience in mission systems development and integration

3+ years of experience in avionics hardware & software development, design, production and project management

3+ years of supplier management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with Weapon Systems

Experience with MIL-STD-1553| MIL-STD-1760 | MIL-STD-461 | MIL-STD-810

MBSE/CAMEO experience

Familiarity with Open Architecture Concepts/Modularity/WOSA

Experiencing Managing Supplier and Customer relationships

Typical Education/Experience:(Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.(Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.(Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
