Find your future with us.Bring your talent to bear supporting our nation and its allies.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to support the Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) engineering development programs. As a CMS Project Engineer, you will be part of the Cruise Missile Systems Chief Engineer organization and an integral member of a program engineering development team supporting a cruise missile development and production program. You will have the opportunity to grow yourself, your skills, and your career while providing support to our growing cruise missile portfolio.The Cruise Missile Systems portfolio comprises medium and long range ship-, air-, land-, and submarine-launched weapons systems, including the Harpoon Weapon System and the Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response. Cruise Missile Systems serves the U.S. Department of Defense and more than 30 international customers.Position Responsibilities:Coordinate with technical leads, other program IPTs, and suppliers as appropriate to ensure engineering integration across the program and across Boeing’s cruise missile product line.

Support the Program Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering, and program IPTs to drive successful execution and completion of engineering work products.

Work closely with the Program Chief Engineer and IPT leads to achieve consistent and technically sound engineering decisions.

Work closely with Program Chief Engineer and IPT leads to maintain consistent design and project direction, develop policies, procedures, and guidelines, and support the development of business and technical strategies for product improvement.

Define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.

Develop clear and concise presentation of complex technical issues and their associated resolution plans both internally and to customers or other external stakeholders.

Monitor and evaluate the program technical baseline.

Participate on Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and provide recommendations to the Program Chief Engineer for actions presented at the Change Control Board (CCB).

Coordinate engineering activities in support of System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events and the Boeing Enterprise Standard Gated Process.

Act as customer interface for technical information, anomaly resolution plans, questions, and actions.

Prepare and host Program Management Reviews, Design Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings, including preparation of agendas and presentation materials, presenting materials, and ensuring the total program status has been communicated

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

7 or more years of experience in an engineering environment

3 or more years of experience in an engineering leadership role (lead, project management etc)

Willing and able to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)Master’s Degree

Weapons or cruise missile engineering development and/or production experience.

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical teams

Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Highly motivated, self-directed, attention to detail

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
