Title: Senior Designer - Software Administrator

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Duration: 18 Months

Job Description: Primarily responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and management of Autodesk application toolsets, databases, standards, and functionality. Focus on production efficiency and daily support for an entire team of professional designers. Creates plans and activities in support of cross-functional alignment, consistent work practices, and employee capability. Delivers and maintains up-to-date documentation, training, and content support for design document creation, sharing and publishing platforms that protect intellectual property and drive global repeatability of projects. Ensures all related technology meet objectives and deadlines aligned with departmental goals.
  • Drive Standards, processes & procedures
  • Create internal on-site consultant approach to serve project teams
  • Provide AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Vault, and BIM 360 desktop support
  • Coordination of Plant3D catalogs
  • Integration of BIM 360, Vault and Repeatable Design
  • Assist with model management administration and maintenance
  • Assist with hardware testing to ensure best CAD performance results on WAN/LAN.
  • Strategic on-going relationship with Client Technical Groups, Autodesk, and software industries
  • Perform user training at the project level for basic workflows and processes and procedures within design applications
  • Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies
  • Assist with setting department strategy as it relates to CAD/BIM and participate in technology related department initiatives
  • Other duties and responsibilities:
    • Work within cross functional engineering and technical teams within the engineering department.
    • Assist in the development/modification of department technical specifications and related CAD Libraries in the area of specialty.
    • Create internal on-site consultant approach to serve project teams

    Experience / Technical Skills:
    • Minimum 5+ years' experience in CAD Management or related technical role (Food manufacturing or CPG industry preferred).
    • Basic knowledge in using design software and programs (e.g. REVIT , AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant3D, AutoCAD MEP, Vault, BIM 360 DOCS, Navisworks ) required.
    • Eager to support staff with positive attitude, passion and patience.
    • Experience with multiple BIM/CAD roles.
    • Experience building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders effectively.
    • Organized, detailed project planner capable of working independently as part of a team to achieve desired results.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
    • Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver-gets things moving and keeps them on track.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple activities.
    • Able to collaborate across large organization.
    • Ability to be flexible and transition quickly between various assignments.
    • Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.

    Education Required:
    • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or Drafting related field.
