Job Description: VENDOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Contract to Hire

The Vendor Management Analyst will be one of the Key resources for the VMO Manager. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong relationship management and negotiating skills, and a strong desire to manage IT initiatives.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help manage the relationship between our client, its divisions, and key third party vendors to ensure that the proper support and attention are given to our client's account.
  • Help formulate and create strategic communications targeted at executives or strategic partners.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with key third party vendors.
  • Bring a negotiation to closure.
  • Drive communication programs that help ensure the dissemination of critical information to divisions regarding vendor relations and strategic programs.
  • Manage corporate IT initiatives in a manner that drives adoption, removes administrative roadblocks, enhances communications, and ensures that executive targets are met.
  • Liaise between divisions and key vendors on strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain an external network for information gathering.
  • Help identify new areas of opportunity through project work and research.
  • Create tracking mechanisms and financial models that aid in the management process.
EDUCATION/LANGUAGE
  • Undergraduate: Bachelor's degree in Business or IT preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • 2-4 years B.S. or 0-2 years with M.S. of work experience in the information technology, strategic sourcing, finance, or asset management field.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to create and orate compelling presentations highly desired (PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Excel and other tools that facilitate large volumes of data (Excel, SQL, Access, Power BI).
  • Solid Teamwork Skills - works well with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and excel under pressure.
  • Strong informal leadership capabilities.
  • Audit Experience.
  • Negotiating Experience.
  • Outstanding conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Execution minded - someone who makes and keeps commitments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
