Job Description:PHARMACIST Springfield, MissouriFull-Time (32-40 hours)Guaranteed 4 days a week in SpringfieldWill provide coverage for other Pharmacists out on vacation in Springfield and Columbia. Mileage and hotel will be paid if traveling to Columbia.Job Summary:We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Springfield, Missouri and provide occasional coverage in Columbia as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supervising pharmacy staff, and ensuring compliance with all professional rules and standards of pharmacy practice. Counsel patients about the selection, storage, and use of medications, nutritional supplements, and other healthcare products
Accurately weigh, measure, and mix compounded medications
Correctly use pharmaceutical equipment and techniques
Provide great customer service, ensuring each patient is satisfied with their experience
Supervision and Compliance
Supervise the activities of the pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with all professional rules and standards of pharmacy practice
Monitor and maintain inventory control of both prescription and over-the-counter medications
Understand the use of available drug information resources and accurately respond to drug information inquiries from patients and healthcare providers
Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the pharmacy team
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Technical Skills
Interpret, input, fill, and label prescriptions and drug orders promptly and accurately
Use pharmacy information systems and clinical decision support systems efficiently
Demonstrate a strong understanding of medication therapy management, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate state board of pharmacy (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
Certificate of Immunization (ability to immunize patients)
MTS certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
