Location: St. Joseph, MO Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Description: The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Industrial Engineer for a large food distribution company in Missouri! The qualified individual will be responsible for planning the utilization of facilities, materials, equipment and personnel to improve efficiency of plant operations. They will analyze work samples and establish work measurement programs to develop standards for labor utilization.
Responsibilities:- Explore facility layout, workforce utilization, and operation data, such as production flow charts, production costs, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of equipment and workers
- Recommend procedures to reduce waste of materials and utilities and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency
- Consult with engineering and management associates to implement recommendations and plans
- Coordinate industrial engineering projects
- Develop management systems for cost analysis
- Direct and participate in special projects as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 1-2+ years' experience in related field
- Experience in a distribution or manufacturing setting
- Ability to travel independently on a regular basis
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks and projects
