Cloud Data Engineer

The solutions developed will meet the requirements, perform well and have quality built-in.The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. You must have a proven ability to drive business results with your data-based insights. You must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.Your future duties and responsibilities In this role you will be involved in the processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis, be able to create automated anomaly detection systems, track performance and carry out other ad-hoc analysis as required• Collecting data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies• Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis (Oracle to Postgresql)• Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data• Building tools to automate data collection• Creating reports and presentations for business uses• Correlating similar data to find actionable results• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy• Assist in the developmentRequired qualifications to be successful in this role CGI has an open opportunity for a data engineer to join our team. Attributes that define our ideal candidates will include:• Experience with Azure Data Factory to include the MS integration runtime configurations.• Experience with Oracle to Postgres DB migrations using Ora2Pg• Experience with Azure Managed Postgres• Experience with Azure DataLake V2• Experience with Azure Synapse Studio• Convert users and groups to Asure Postgres• Analytical curiosity, strong data-oriented skills and a statistical programming background• Possess a successful track record of designing and developing AI/ML algorithms for private or public sector solutions• Up-to-date with the latest technology trends, have a strong desire to constantly learn and be ready to put on the hacker's hat at any time to convert an idea into a demonstration• Highly detailed-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-through skills• Self-starter and able to execute without a lot of direction or oversight• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to make advanced analytics concepts accessible and understandable to non-technical business user• Value collaboration and urgency; and have a passion for driving impactSkill Set Years of Experience Proficiency LevelExperience working on predictive analytics and data mining projects5+ SrSound knowledge and experience of Cloud Computing working with Azure and AWS native services for data & AI.
