Responsibilities:
  • As an Engineer 3 you will design, develop, and modify many different elements of technology.
  • You will be required to understand advanced methods, theories and research techniques that establish ongoing direction and implementation of the technology vision and strategy.
  • As an Engineer 3, we will be looking to you as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of technology that will represent your team in a positive manner within and outside of your department.
  • You will be leading implementations and providing viable recommendations for implementing new solutions.
  • You will be providing instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments; ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Daily activities will include collaborating with Architects and recommending adjustments to the architecture to improve the overall quality and integration.
  • You will also be required to monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance of established standards, processes, and procedures.
  • As an Engineer 3, Network you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying state-of-the-art network solutions across EHI's multiple data centers that meet business needs.
  • You will lead design discussions with a talented team within the routing switching team, as well as interface with engineers, architects, and information security professionals from across EHI's IT organization.
  • You will provide management with recommendations and proposals to resolve issues, explain solutions, establish technology roadmaps, and schedule work.
  • You'll represent your area of responsibility in technical discussions and presentations with other IT teams.
  • You will also act as an escalation point for lesser experienced engineers, reviewing their work, guiding them in creating solutions, and introducing them to new technology concepts.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure as a Network Engineer, or in a similar role
  • 5+ years' experience working with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and OSPF
  • 5+ years' experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON and RDP
  • Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching Technologies for data center and campus networks utilizing Cisco IOS and NX-OS
  • Experience SDN and other virtual solutions (i.e. Cisco ACI and NSX)
  • Experience with Cisco Spine and Leaf topologies
  • Knowledge working in Internet and DMZ environments using firewall products (i.e. Cisco ASA and Palo Alto)
  • Knowledge of designing secure network infrastructure solutions
  • Experience with packet capturing and protocol analysis.
  • Project and time management skills
  • Ability to work alone or in groups, managing multiple projects and finding solutions to keeping projects on track

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills that result in conclusive recommendations and decisions
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, integrity, and accountability
  • Must be comfortable and effective at presenting to various audiences

Preferred:
  • Broad infrastructure domain knowledge (network, systems, storage, database, security, monitoring, data centers)
  • Scripting or other automation experience in an infrastructure environment
  • Experience working in network design and implementation, data center routing switching, troubleshooting and operations
  • Experience or working knowledge with load balancing technology (i.e. F5 Networks)
  • Experience of Next Generation firewalls (i.e. Palo Alto) security mechanisms such as VPN, IPSEC and SSL
  • Experience or working knowledge of DNS and DHCP protocols
  • Experience or working knowledge of scripting and markup languages (i.e. Python, JSON/XML etc.)
  • Experience or working knowledge of automation platforms such as Ansible
