We Are Hiring: This is a remote position but we do have Ascension Studio office locations in St. Louis, Austin, Chicago. Candidates that reside in or have willingness to travel to these locations for select team meetings and collaboration on strategic projects are preferred. We will consider strong qualified candidates from other remote locations as well.

We are looking for a Manager, Data Analytics that will focus on providing statistical consulting and advanced analytics support for nursing, patient safety, and consumer experience. What You Will Do: Manages and coordinates data analytic activities associated with organizing, implementing and meeting departmental goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Engages in strategic planning and tactical implementation of data analytic activities. Consults leadership on the development of Data Analytics strategy for the organization and develops analytical models and support tools across functions of the organization.
  • Oversees the preparation of departmental reports and analyses. Establishes departmental metrics to support project goals and develops improvement plans.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to senior level management across different departments.
  • Manages activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Leads a team to develop prescriptive, predictive, and inferential analytical tools to drive organizational efficiencies and sustainability, improve decision making, and further analytical service offering to internal and external customers.
What You Will Need: Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 5 years of experience preferred.
  • 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Decision Sciences, Computer or Information Science, Physics, Behavioral and Social Sciences or other related technical or quantitative fields strongly preferred.

  • Master's or Doctorate degree is strongly preferred
  • Statistical consulting experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge or expertise in research design principles
  • Experience writing the methodology sections of research publications in academic or industry settings strongly preferred
  • Experience with conducting research in human behavior, medical sciences, behavioral sciences, associate or patient experience, education, business, clinical operations, performance improvement, process optimization and/or healthcare preferred
  • Advanced modeling and statistical knowledge one or more of the following areas: multivariate analysis, logistic regression, poisson and negative binomial regression, experimental design, structural equation modeling, principal component analysis, educational measurement, psychometrics, factor analysis, mathematical modeling, simulation, operations research, optimization
  • Scripting language experience in Python, R and SQL
  • Knowledge of and some experience with Google Cloud Platform preferred
  • Web and social media analytics
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Text mining and natural language processing knowledge strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques: Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, SVMs, Time Series, KMeans, Clustering, NMF)
  • Consulting experience with external clients or internal stakeholders
  • Presentation and storytelling skills
  • 1-3 years experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, or Microstrategy
