Java EngineerLocation: CaliforniaLocation: Travel 100% Covered - Flights & Accommodationto CA, coveredSalary: $50 per/hourWork Authorization: Open: - s, GC-EAD, Asylum TN, E3, H1B Job Description Our Fortune 500 client seeks two (2) a Sr. Router Switch Delivery Engineer who will assist with prep, rack and stack, and implementation of a Cisco network upgrade (Nexus and Cat9K) supporting SMMC-SF at the client location. This candidate will report into the R/S Engineering Lead in PS (and PS Sr. Project Manager) and will oversee patch cord techs assigned to their IDFs (Intelligent Dynamic Frequency Selection). The ideal candidate has a very strong understanding of core networking concepts, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and experience with meeting deadlines. Core Duties & Responsibilities:- Staging and configuration of network electronics based on customer requirements
- Performing physical implementation of network electronics into customer environments
- Understanding various network, data center, and data closet components
- Manage implementation team resources to project schedule and objectives
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution independently or as part of a team
- Interfacing with clients, partners, and internal team members to ensure effective implementation and integration strategies are executed
- Focus on providing a high level of customer satisfaction throughout solution delivery process
- College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 5 plus years' experience in network administration/engineering
- Strong understandings of Cisco's Network implementation using a Cisco Catalyst 9000 Switches and Cisco Nexus switches.
- Experience with large-scale global network environments -BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN/WAN network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- TCP/IP and various Internet Protocols DNS, NAT, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL, SNMP, NFS, IPv4, Digital Certificates, Web Security architecture.
- IP routing, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VRF.
- 4+ years of experience as Network Technician
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience installing and troubleshooting network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Must be familiar with a wide base of technologies such as networking, network service (DHCP, DNS), wireless networking, and network security
- Excellent communication skills
- CCNA desired
- Experience in designing networks from layer 1 to layer 3.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Layer2/3 Switches and Routers and building switch stacks.
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- Experience in IP Address management
- Expertise in troubleshooting tools
- Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
