We are currently seeking a highly motivated Lead or Senior Project Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions to join the Cruise Missile Launch Systems Software team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and providing technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design.

The Launch System and associated software is being modified to align with the expanding capabilities and functionality of the Harpoon missile. The project has a broad and growing customer base of both international and domestic customers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements

Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation

Perform and document analysis.

Manage supplier development, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

Prioritize, delegate and track performance and documentation of analysis of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design

Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts

Train and coach others

Work under minimal direction

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Saint Charles, MO. (3 days onsite and 2 days virtual).

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim clearance can be granted prior to starting.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5 or more years of experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs) and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs)

5 or more years of experience providing technical oversight/management of external suppliers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10+ year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
