Job Description:Responsibilities:1: Identify and apply appropriate methods to ensure systematic scheduling of blood drives by assigned blood drive sponsors to meet blood collection goals. In concert with the Executive Director or Regional Philanthropy Officer who works with executive or other sponsor decision maker to secure commitments to organize multiple blood drives throughout the year, the account manager works with the sponsor's blood drive coordinator to "book" the blood drives on specific dates.2: Ensure consistent execution of the 12-week drive management cycle to include securing sufficient drive sign-ups occur, leveraging Blood Drive Coordinator and Recruitment Committees. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director or Regional Philanthropy Officer, executive/sponsor decision maker and sponsor blood drive coordinator to ensure sufficient sign- ups are attained to successfully execute the blood drive.3: Ensure drive logistics properly occur (bookings, drive time/date/place, and regular interaction with Acquisition Planning &Scheduling and Collections teams).4: Work in partnership with Blood Drive Coordinator, Donor Recruitment Family District Manager and Executive Director/Regional Philanthropy Officer to ensure a positive blood drive sponsor and donor experience, as well as smooth and efficient blood drive Operations Family.5: Provide the highest level of customer service to encourage the sponsor to grow their blood program with the Red Cross in frequency and APO.6: In partnership with Executive Director or Regional Philanthropy Officer, develop territory plans on an annual basis to ensure collection goals are achieved. Territory plans should detail strategy to increase frequency, grow APO and identify new blood drive sponsors.7: Provide sufficient organizational and operational support to blood drive coordinator to ensure achievement of collection operation and annual goals.8: Schedule and implement education programs for blood drive sponsor contact, recruitment committees, volunteers and volunteer tele-recruiters within assigned groups to assist in meeting collection objectives and to comply with all ARCBS directives, Code of Federal Regulations, local operating procedures and other related regulatory requirements.9: Maintain accurate records in Hemasphere to provide tracking and statistical data on blood drive sponsor group performance.10: Appropriately utilize tools, technology and strategy provided by the organization to enhance customer service, efficiency and productivity.-Scope: This is an entry level position in the department, with one-year of close oversight and supervision. The actions and decisions of the person holding this position are based on precedent, organizational need and good judgment. The position is responsible for the execution of effective blood drives to meet organizational need. The person in this position will lead and evaluate the work of drive operational volunteers within assigned groups/chapters.-Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience required.Experience: Minimum one-year related experience required.-Management Experience: None Required.-Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Good oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.-Travel: May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.-Physical Requirements: The duties above indicate the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. May require the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds.
