Job Description
Position OverviewThe Receptionist is responsible for assisting the Office Coordinator and Assistant School Leader of Operations in the day-to-day operations of the front office. The Office Cooridinatorwill have a significant role in ensuring efficient front office operations while providing exemplary customer service. This includes ensuring all calls are promptly answered and all visitors are properly checked in and welcomed. The Receptionist is a main point of contact for all of the school’s constituents, including students, teachers, families, trustees, donors, and visitors. You will help to maintain the school culture centered on KIPP St. Louis’ core values to ensure that our students climb the mountain to and through college.The Receptionist is managed and formally evaluated by the Assistant School Leader of Operations.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesFront Office Operations Management● Develop and manage systems to ensure efficient front office operations and a welcoming environment,including but not limited to:Signing in visitors, volunteers, and late student arrivals/early dismissals
Office upkeep and maintenance, including external communications materials
Overseeing front office duties (including incoming calls, faxes, copy machines, files, mail and deliveries,etc.)
Make, receive, distribute, and track recurring purchases, such as paper supply, custodial supplies, and basicoffice and classroom supplies
Ensure that office materials are organized, stored neatly, and accessible to students/staff/parents

Qualifications
Qualifications● At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school setting● Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus● Excellent organizational skills● Effective verbal and written skills● Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)● Proven track record of exemplary customer service● A passion for working in the city of St. Louis and a passion for the mission of KIPP● Dedication to helping children grow and learnPhysical Demands/Mental Demands/Environmental Factors● Frequently positions self to interact with students● Daily operation of a computer and office equipment● Occasional moderate lifting● Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)● Maintain emotional control under stress● Interprets policy, procedures, and data● Occasionally endure inclement weather conditions to provide for student safetyAdditional Information
