Senior Market Analyst, National Job Description

The Senior Market Analyst - National , will support and facilitate the production of analytic content for CoStar's National Director team, including the National Directors for the Office, Multifamily, Retail, Industrial and Hotel property types. In doing so, the National Senior Market Analyst will increase the value provided by CoStar's National Director team to the CoStar product and its clients. In addition , t he National Senior Market Analyst will aid in the production of all analytic content to support the coverage of various markets, as CoStar's Market Analytics coverage needs evolve. T his role provide s the National Senior Market Analyst with exposure to many markets and property types, intentionally establishing an experience-rich and well-rounded pathway to other roles in CoStar's Market Analytics department, such as an in-market Associate Director or Director of Market Analytics . This position would sit in our St. Louis office, in an optional hybrid work environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Analytics for National Directors: Create and maintain unique and innovative analyses in partnership with the National Directors .
- CMA Initiative Support: Support CoStar Market Analytics initiatives and production needs, particularly as it relates to various advanced data analytics projects . This could include producing custom queries for Loopnet narrative production or maintaining presentation chart books used throughout the group.
- Content Creation: Assist in-market analysts and directors in producing relevant content and insightful analysis of commercial real estate market conditions for inclusion in CoStar's product offerings. Content take s various forms, including but not limited to : (1) Written narratives in CoStar's market and sub-market reports , (2) News stories on CoStar's home page, and (3) Visual content included in presentations
- Base Market-Knowledge Cultivation: Compile comprehensive information and data about various markets and CRE sectors to build a deep knowledge base of overall market conditions and relevant dynamics.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals.
- Strong analytical , data manipulation, data visualization and writing skills.
- Robust and proven e xperience using MS SQL and other data analytic, statistical, or mapping tools such as STATA or QGIS.
- Produce creative, unique and innovative analyses in partnership with CMA Directors and CMA leadership that drives the value of CoStar's Market Analytics forward.
- Such analyses and projects can be highlighted and quantified in presentation form, as well as throughout the content produced by CMA at-large.
