- Manage database team staff and resource allocation.
- Work with other Task Area Leads to coordinate database changes with cross-team impacts
- Track and work with vendors on the service requests opened by the team.
- Ensure proper coverage for deployments and off hour maintenance tasks impacting critical applications.
- Schedule the resources for the tasks and maintain the worklog for ease of maintenance.
- Ensure database teams maintain up-to-date documentation of all procedures, infrastructure diagrams, system configuration and baseline standards, implementation plans, system back out plans, system recovery plans, maintenance plans, system upgrades, and all system changes
- Ensure all database projects are tracked in Jira, report status, and escalate issues to leadership
- Lead enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and vendor management activities
- Identify process and performance improvements
- Identify training opportunities for database team members
- 10 years of experience and a B.S. and M.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience and MS can be substituted with an additional 2 years of related experience.
- US Citizenship
- 3 years' production support work experience for high availability data center operations and leading a team of database administrators
- 3 years' experience with project management, including workstream planning and use of tools just as JIRA, Confluence, Kanban
- 3 years' experience managing operations for the SAP application running on DB2
- 3 years' experience managing operations for DB2 in open systems
- 3 years' experience managing operations for Oracle database
- 2 years' experience with Database high availability technologies (i.e., HADR, Data Sharing, TSA).
- 3 years' experience with DBA support of Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Manufacturing Systems, Supply Chain Management, Supplier Relationship Management, or other relevant corporate systems
- 2 years' experience in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc.) subject to compliance controls
