Job Req #: 21-11912Job Description: Technical Product OwnerLocation: Remote, ideally in the St Louis areaJob Type: Direct Hire Key Responsibilities: We are looking for someone with 1-2 years EBS/Oracle experience along with the skill sets needed for a Technical Product Owner: strong business analytics skills, writing/documenting use cases and user stories and working with tech and business to deliver on commitments.
- Our client has an immediate need for a Product Owner to support a fast-moving, highly visible initiative.
- Serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of a development team
- Lead the backlog refinement of features and user stories and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines
- You will work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions
- Interaction with the teams building the products
- Focus on product level impediments and process changes to enable faster and higher quality software
- Make tough decisions on trade-offs between features, quality and dates in order to provide the best solution for our clients
- You ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issues
- You work with Product Managers to ensure the features in a release represent what is needed and that return on investment is in line with their expectations
- You have in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and features
- You will drive value as a function of cost, time, functionality and quality
- You will work with Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements like infrastructure needs
- You will work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testing
- You will coordinate with business customers to conduct product integration testing Key Responsibilities Preparation and Participation in PI Planning Program Backlog
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required
- 3+ years in experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity
- Skilled at removing roadblocks
- Experience with Jira
- Experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Possess a deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, and knowledge of Systems Development and Project Management lifecycles
- Experience with Product & Technology Roadmap development through influence of key business and technology partners to identify business priorities
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban and Google Cloud Platform Cloud Technologies preferred
