VIRTUAL DESKTOP ADMINISTRATOR Work closely with other teams in IT to provide root cause analysis using configuration management tools, monitoring tools, and device command line interface tools to resolve systemic end user issues. Create and maintain software deployment packages for Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS via configuration management tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune or VMware Workspace ONE. Create PowerShell scripts for repeatable or mundane tasks to automate them and scale solutions across the enterprise, including integrations with Windows Presentation Foundation and PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit. Create and maintain integrations between Microsoft Autopilot, Microsoft Azure Active Directory or VMware Workspace ONE. Replicate existing task sequence configurations in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit to VMware Workspace One to maintain continuity for future Microsoft Autopilot deployments. Transition Windows endpoints to Microsoft Autopilot workflows in lieu of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and a traditional gold image created from a task sequence. Maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot security benchmarks and standards such as NIST standards, CIS, ISO, SOC1, and SOC2 and audit settings via scripting or automation tools. Manage mobile device and warehouse handheld scanner configurations and administration through Mobile Device Management tools and Zebra Utilities. Administer virtual desktop environment, including maintenance, support, patching, and documentation. Create and maintain Windows 10 and Windows Server gold images for virtual desktops via Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. Discover and set up Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge for existing applications that require Internet Explorer, including Oracle databases. Work with users to troubleshoot application compatibility issues and then deploy update configurations to the enterprise. Setup Oracle Java and Internet Explorer in the virtual desktop environment so that Oracle database connectivity can be maintained. Work with end users to discover and then implement streamlined processes and workflows to access Oracle databases via the virtual desktop environment. Complete transition of users off local tools for access to Oracle databases and then remove both Internet Explorer and Oracle Java from Windows endpoints. Position requires Bachelor’s or equivalent level degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive experience performing the duties of this position.
