World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Director of Sales Business Solutions, to support our growing and transformational product teams. The Internal IT organization is responsible for the life cycle planning of business applications through the phases of strategize, architect, select, deploy, operate, evolve, and retire.

Reporting to the Vice President of IT, this position will work closely with the Sales organization leadership and stakeholders to define our product vision and roadmaps to achieve business outcomes; then drive design and execution working alongside our Application Services Delivery teams. Four business solution managers overseeing the main investment areas aligned to IT will report directly to you.

The Director of Sales Business Solutions will oversee all activities oriented around the delivery of solutions needed by Sales to achieve their strategic objectives. This includes:
  • Strategy – Setting ambitious and clear vision for designing solutions across multiple products and/or the creation of new products where gaps exist
  • Execution - On all aspects of technology solution development including the definition, creation, development and implementation through a prioritized backlog of solution features. Ensure that soultions cost-effectively meet the needs of the business as a whole.
  • Client Focus – Develop a deep understanding of the WWT Business, build close relationships with key stakeholders and define business strategy for cross-enterprise utilities
  • Partnership - Support client-facing employees in delivering for our clients by integrating the end to end client experience

Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader, manage, and develop a strong team of Product Owners and Business Relationship Managers leveraging WWT’s Integrated Management and Leadership principles
  • Solution strategy and vision: Create and effectively champion a data-driven and market-informed product vision and plan that works in concert with the greater WWT plan. Identify the strategic solution implications and opportunities resulting from major corporate strategies and change initiatives.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Sales Program — including staffing, budgeting and other relevant management functions.
  • Effectively communicate to all levels of the WWT via written, spoken, and other media.
  • Solution lifecycle management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products from conception through launch. Strategize and implement on growth initiatives in operating live products.
  • Solution roadmap definition: Develop a product feature and release roadmap based on business targets, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of consumer needs.
  • Prioritization: Effectively design plans based on priorities, setting clear/measurable targets and deploying team resources appropriately to achieve business goals.
  • Analytics and Experimentation: Develop and measure product KPIs, derive key insights, strengthen reporting tools.
  • Communication: Clearly articulate the product roadmap, vision, priorities and requirements to multiple stakeholders in both written and oral formats. Gather and incorporate feedback from a diverse range of stakeholders including app and web teams, platform teams, operational teams, legal and globalization.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Design and Program Management leaders throughout completion of milestones.
  • Raise the standard: Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums and continuing to drive a culture of learning and change to raise the standard of the practice of Product Management for WWT.
  • 10+ years of successive experience in software product management with a complex portfolio of products
  • Proven history of successful product management integrations
  • Passion for Agile techniques including Scrum, prioritization, backlog grooming, and sprint planning with development teams to grow high performing teams and practices
  • Enterprise experience leading teams in Lean IT, agile development, and DevOps principles, frameworks, and technologies
  • Ability to explain the benefits of Software Development best practices such as Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
  • A bias toward action and strong will to get things done, balanced by a style that effectively influences and inspires
  • Clear, concise and persuasive communication style that compels to action
  • Ability to lead high performing, cross-functional teams
  • History of developing and growing talent through challenging situations and vague and changing customer requirements
  • Experience managing priorities with third party vendors and key partners. Comfortable making build versus buy recommendations based on industry knowledge
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends
  • History of making challenging tradeoffs in establishing product priorities that have required sophisticated analyses and challenging negotiations.
  • Excellent project/program management skills and ability to present work to executive stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, both through a technology and competitor lens
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, Finance, or Business Management desired, MBA preferred
