Darwin Chambers Company is a growing, privately owned company that manufactures and installs controlled environmental chambers for research labs at universities, pharmaceutical companies, and government contractors world wide. Regular duties include:
Assists or directly installs walk in cooler enclosures, mechanical systems and electrical systems at remote sites in accordance
with standard installation procedures.
Employs the use of tools and materials with caution and while following approved safety measures. Maintain cleanliness of job
site during installation.
Start up and test all completed projects to ensure that they operate throughout their designed operating ranges.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with the construction manager.
Completes job and time documentation in a legible manner and submits all documentation on a timely basis.
Performs final clean-up of job site following installation.
Performs shop work and maintenance duties as assigned when in shop.
Pre-build required mechanical components prior to shipping to site.
Pull materials together and prep for shipping/delivery to support installation of specific projects.
Requirements:
Ability to travel at least 80% of the time worldwide to customer sites to install environmental chambers.
Valid driver's license w/ clean record required.
Basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills preferred.
HVAC, EPA Certification and OSHA 10/30 Certification preferred but not required.
Ability to read a measuring tape, familiarity with power tools and basic construction tools.
Must be able to stand for several hours at a time, climb up & down ladders and lift at least 80-100 lbs.
Applicants with HVAC, EPA Certification and OSHA 10/30 Certification will start at the higher end of pay scale.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT DRUG SCREENING
MUST AGREE TO AND PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
Depending upon experience and qualifications, average compensation ranges from $35,000-$50,000 (yearly), plus hotel and food per diems This can quickly lead to bigger and better things for motivated individuals as the company is growing quickly. We look forward to having you on the team!
