World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for an Agile Coach - Scrum Master to support the Internal IT Department in St. Louis, MO.

The Scrum Master is a servant leader, a master of the Scrum framework and practices, a coach, a mentor, a facilitator, and a trainer. They use Agile principles and beliefs to guide decisions and seeks continuous improvement from themself, the team, and the organization. They support our Scaled Agile practice, Enterprise Portfolio Management, leadership, and our business partners in effectively interfacing with a Scrum team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Agile and Lean principles are instilled into teams and put into practice.
  • Coach to team agreements and WWT IT standards.
  • Monitor for and coach to team productivity, reduction of technical debt, increase of quality and security, and effective collaboration within and outside the delivery team.
  • Increase flow by coaching to silos, handoffs, high WIP, poor engineering practices, incorrect work size and composition.
  • Shield team from external interferences to promote focus and flow but escalate when necessary.
  • Encourage team to be more self-organizing around the prioritized backlog of work and WWT standards.
  • Develop an actionable plan to strategically increase team agile maturity.
  • Identify, eliminate, and/or escalates impediments.
  • Improve teams’ awareness of factors affecting predictability and quality, and coach teams to improve both.
  • Facilitate all team cadence meetings; ensure team and data is prepared and manage all output.
  • Support Product Owner in excellent backlog refinement and in effectively working with an Agile team, or team of teams. Promote and reiterate Product Owner Vison, Roadmap, and Backlog; ensures team and PO are working together to create an actionable backlog of Features and Stories; reroutes all team asks through the Product Owner.
  • Work with RTE to amplify and support opportunities for cross training between teams and to improve ART performance.
  • Be a contributing member of the Agile Office:
  • Use and support Agile project management tool
  • Act as SME in Agile, SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, facilitation, and ideation
  • Run workshops and coach to visualize, split, and plan work
  • Generate actionable metrics on team health, skills and desires, systematic pain points, and success criteria
  • Create and deliver training workshops and chapter meetings

Qualifications
  • Inherent understanding and passion for WWT’s Core Values
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in an IT organization
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a delivery team coach, Agile Coach or Scrum Master
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or comparable degree
  • Power user of an Agile management tool such as Version One, JIRA, or Rally
  • Experience working in an Agile ERP environment, bonus points if you did any of the heavy lifting to move from a traditional approach to Agile mindset and practices
