VariQ currently has a position open for a

Senior Project Manager to support our client.

Additional Information:
  • Salary: dependent upon experience
  • Security Clearance: Secret
  • Location: USCG Cyber Command Centralized Service Desk (CSD), St. Louis, MO.
  • Available: upon award, currently in the proposal stage

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall contract execution and management of over 100 personnel over a geographically distributed workforce.
  • Develop a Program Management Plan that includes cost, schedule and risk management, and a communications plan.
  • perform dual functions of Project Manager (project and contract execution) and Senior Functional Expert (service desk processes).
  • This person is the single point of contact to the customer

Qualifications

  • Shall have demonstrated a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning, directing, and managing efforts in a similar-sized services organization to USCG.
  • Demonstrated successful management and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in efforts similar in size and scope.
  • Knowledge of industry-accepted standards and best practices (functional expert)
  • Demonstrated experience in a DHS, USCG or Department of Defense Information Technology environment
  • Experience managing performance-based contract TOs and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management
  • Knowledge of industry-accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management operations, and with ITSM best practices (functional expert)
  • familiarity with DHS, USCG or Department of Defense Security Requirements
  • Shall possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients
  • Strong working knowledge of large, complex Information Technology environments

Minimum certifications:
  • ITIL Foundation certification (ITIL v4 Foundation preferred). IAT2 certification strongly desired
  • PMP

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a minimum of ten years of management experience.
