Job Description
Cerner's State Government team aligns with State and local agencies to provide clinical and population health solutions that drive critical outcomes for our state partners and the communities in which we live. We are seeking a talented individual to serve as a Data Architect, Medicaid Markets to identify, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to support a modernized Medicaid and broader HHS enterprise strategy to bend the cost curve for state governments. Cerner's portfolio of solutions is focused on the proactive engagement of vulnerable populations who are poorly managed, underserved, and at high risk of poor health status, poor health outcomes, and spiraling costs to state governments. You will be critical in growing Cerner's State Government business with sharp business acumen and related expertise in implementing a fluid, end-to-end vision for data flow through an organization and develop an organizational data strategy that addresses industry requirements through collaboration with IT teams and management. You will also build an inventory of existing and new data needed to implement the architecture; identify and evaluate current data management technologies; and develop data models for database structures. Some of your other responsibilities will include to design, document, construct and deploy database architectures and applications; implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility; and monitor, refine and report on the performance of data management systems. - At least 3 years of operational, clinical, financial or health care metrics work experience
- At least 3 years of SQL work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Statistics, Math, Analytics or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Must reside within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
