Job Description
Cerner is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Data Analyst to join the Cerner Government Services organization. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for helping define, create, and track key business and client metrics. You will access and compile data sets from various sources for exploratory and pre-defined analyses; audit data sets for completeness, validity, and other pertinent data health measures; conduct basic statistical analysis; and support evaluation of data sets to identify and quantify realized value and opportunities for clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating data visualizations to communicate trends and complex findings as well as collaborate on performance improvement initiatives with non-technical internal and external clients. Working Environment REMOTE This position offers a Remote working environment. Meaning you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. There could be times you will be requested to travel and/or visit a Cerner office or client site. #RemoteQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 5 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
- At least 1 years Data analytics and/or statistics work experience, including experience in quantitative or statistical analysis, data mining, predictive or statistical modeling, applied programming, data management, data transformation, data visualization and/or quantitative or statistical research
- At least 4 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Analytics , Economics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics , Statistics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of experience with Java and Object-Oriented development.
- Basic statistical analysis skills, knowledge in creating data visualizations (PowerBI, Excel, Tableau)
- Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
