Job Description
As a Technology Architect - Product Owner with Cerner's Federal team, you will lead coordination with client and other functional stakeholders to understand scope, requirements, and needs related to ongoing and future capabilities for integrated systems. Analyze test findings as needed to determine whether they constitute a defect against existing requirements or a request for enhancement. Validate the need for and confirmation of mapping to workflow to enable tracking. Participate in Design sessions to identify and prioritize requirements of the integration (input to ICD) . Participate in build demonstrations to guide technical team on development and delivery . Create solution scenarios for validation events and participation in workflow validation/testing. Responsible for managing and clearly expressing product backlog items. Order the items in the product backlog to best achieve goals and missions. Ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what teams will work next. Working Environment REMOTE This position offers a Remote working environment. Meaning you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. There could be times you will be requested to travel and/or visit a Cerner office or client site. #RemoteQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education; including:
- At least 1 year system engineering and/or system architecture work experience.
- At least 5 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education; including:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
- Experience working with Cerner Millennium to leverage that understanding in driving the seamless integration of the system
- Experience as product owner in an agile/scrum environment, including management of a product backlog in an agile management tool such as Jira/Version One, etc
- Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage independently or to manage a team involved in the designs, modification, operations and maintenance, development and implementation of integrated systems
- Experience leading infrastructure programs involving multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to utilize strong leadership skills to provide guidance, influence, and direction
- Ability to translate metrics into business decisions of importance and priorities
- Previous success as a member of a Product Management organization
- Direct hands-on experience with grooming backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members and upper management
- Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 non-critical sensitive federal investigation for which U.S. citizenship is required
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
- Willing to travel up to 30% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
