The Receiving Specialist is responsible to move all freight (unloading to stocking), with an emphasis on detail, quality control and inventory management. This position requires the ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Receive all merchandise in an accurate and timely manner
Transfer merchandise between stores and distribution centers
Handle product returns, recalls and defectives
Follow-up on receiving and notification of special orders
Organize and maintain receiving area
Other duties as needed
Skill Set Requirements:
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Excel in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
Strong computer skills, ie: Word, Excel, other
Display dependability, honesty, and commitment
Familiar with standard concepts and practices within the retail environment
Physical Demands:
Stand for long periods of time
Heavy and repetitive lifting (no more than 50 lbs)
Bending, carrying, and pushing
Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
Close vision for PC work
