Community Outreach Canvasser Job Description:
Community Outreach Canvassers (COC) go door-to-door to talk to likely voters about issues related to the upcoming election. Canvassers are dispatched to densely packed areas of voters and provided with a list of target households to reach as well as other informational materials.
The shift hours are 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM Monday - Friday and double shifts on Saturday and Sunday, mornings 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM / afternoons 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The shift is from the time in the office to the time out of the office. Including travel time to turf and the daily briefing, a canvasser should expect to knock for 4 hours per 5 hour shift.
The schedule is flexible, you just need to complete each shift you sign up for and provide notice for canceling shifts. We ask that every canvasser commits to at least 3 shifts per week. The position is from October 6, 2018 - November 6, 2018.
$75 per 5 Hour Shift ($15/HR), W-2 Employee.
