The Kitchen Manager is responsible for all kitchen functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, pricing, menu, receiving, safety, sanitation, cleanliness, scheduling and training kitchen staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Responsible for ordering food products and pricing according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are received.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, other equipment and food storage areas.
- Supervise the daily cleaning of the kitchen and weekly deep cleaning.
- Recruiting, training and developing staff.
Requirements:
- 40 hours/week, full availability.
- Thursday- Monday/ some days some nights.
- ServeSafe Food Manager Certified, or willing to receive with in 30 days.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
