Jake's Horses is a family owned and operated outfitting business located in Big Sky, MT. We are hiring summer guides who are capable of guiding groups of up to 8 guests on horseback, have strong work ethic, who are accountable and self-sufficient; responsible and capable of getting the job done without constant supervision.
Summer is a busy time and the nature of the business requires that you are able to communicate, collaborate and work with others to get the job done. Guides are typically scheduled to work four days, followed by one-two days off. Guides ride between 5 and 7 hours in one day of work, and in addition to preparing the horses and guiding. Responsible also include, but are not limited to, caring for the horses and equipment; general ranch duties including fencing, irrigation, and chores.
Guides must be friendly and have a positive attitude, must have a mind for customer service, have experience working with horses, and be willing to learn from their coworkers, the horses, the business, and the guests.
