A small law practice is seeking a part-time office assistant. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated person who can multi-task. A candidate should have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant telephone demeanor.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and responding to emails
Processing mail
Scheduling meetings and calendaring deadlines
Organizing and keeping files, both on a computer and paper files
Using templates to create documents
Greeting clients
Keeping office clean and organized
Running errands
Filing legal documents
Tracking office supplies
Other projects as needed from time to time
Qualifications and Skills:
Prefer 2 years of college or more.
Computer experience is required, including use of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn industry specific software and online court-filing programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
Customer service experience preferred.
Ability to multitask while still maintaining a high attention to detail.
Experience in legal, medical, or similar office setting a plus.
Approximately 16-20 hours a week available, depending on candidate’s availability. On-the-job training, and possibility for increased hours. Competitive wage DOE. 401K available after 1 year of service and if other qualifications are met.
