Job Summary
Wavelength Electronics is a leading manufacturer of precision electronics. We operate local servers and subscribe to cloud-based services and clients use a variety of hardware and software packages. We need a full-time Network Administrator to maintain and troubleshoot current systems, research and install new systems, and meet current information systems standards and best practices for cybersecurity.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position has several core responsibilities performed under minimal supervision at one facility in Bozeman, MT:
Maintain 24/7/365 up-time on web page, email, phone, and fax systems. Maintain and troubleshoot all network and client system hardware, peripherals, and software. Install upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Work after hours and on weekends is rare, but expected as projects require.
Follow Quality System procedures. Set up systems for new users and provide training. Conduct quarterly training to keep users alert to current security threats. Create and maintain documentation of systems, networks, and procedures.
As management communicates needs, develop network, client, phone system hardware and software plans to support these needs.
The Network Administration position requires a person of integrity. One that will not abuse the access and trust given to maintain systems.
Education and Experience
-Requires knowledge and proficiency with Windows Server (2008 & 2012) & Desktop (XP, 7, 10), Linux servers, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS in a Windows domain
-Ideally also knows how to administer Office 365, ESET Security, MySQL, Backup Exec, Godaddy hosting, SAGE, NEC VOIP phones, firewalls and protect against current cybersecurity challenges.
-Ideally a 4-year degree in computer science or related field or 2-3 years of equivalent experience.

-Good judgment in decision making.
-Ability to lift 30 pounds
