The Surgery Department RN Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director will also work closely with and be supported by an outstanding CNOR Nurse Manager as well as multiple Operating Room Supervisors and Charge Nurses. This person will also have the opportunity to communicate and interact with a group of professional and engaged surgeons and physicians. This Nurse Director will also work closely with Perioperative Clinical Educators and other leadership members within the department to maintain the department and ensure policies and regulations are being met.
The Surgery Department RN Director will oversee a fast-paced department that offers many surgical procedures including general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, and much more. The Surgery Department RN Director will have the opportunity to ensure the surgical department’s clinical and administrative success. The Director will act as a liaison between surgery and various other departments throughout the hospital to verify smooth departmental transitions for patients receiving surgery. The Director will also manage administrative duties by being an integral part of directing fiscal duties, supply chain, and staffing.
