A rural health hospital located in beautiful Northern Montana is looking for a Laboratory Supervisor to join their 20-bed hospital.
This hospital is growing fast. It has multiple outpatient clinics, surgery centers, and provides a wide variety of services to meet the needs of its community. This hospital offers Emergency Services, Surgical Services, Oncology, Radiology, Plastics, Orthopedics, Vascular Health, Dermatology, Physical Therapy, and much more. Although this hospital is smaller, it provides a very large variety of services and departments. This hospital prides itself on its easy accessibility and outpatient clinics, that helps the community reach care whenever it’s needed.
This hospital is looking for a Lab Supervisor who has a background in Microbiology. The hospital system has three laboratories, and would like the Supervisor of Microbiology to oversee the Main Lab. The Microbiology Supervisor:
- Provides direction and oversight on activities.
- Performs and coordinates the daily functions for Microbiology.
- Implements employee evaluations for testing staff.
- Acts as a resource to lab techs and providers to help them better understand micro.
- Has knowledge on fungi, bacteria, and parasites.
- Acts as an infection control professional to keep the lab quality up.
The Lab Supervisor will be fortunate to work with a healthcare system that has been with its community for more than 100 years. This clinic system is provider-led and is committed to recruiting the best staff. The Lab will see patients from over 17 counties which adds up to around 225,000 residents. This Laboratory Supervisor should be someone who has some understanding on rural healthcare. Most of the residents come from rural areas, which has allowed this hospital to expand majorly in the past few years.
