We are currently seeking a Field Tech Specialist to join our team in Hamilton, Montana (US-MT), United States (US).

NTT is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Linux/PC/Mac Desktop Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hamilton, Montana. This position will include the following responsibilities.

  • Security Logistics Support - central point of contact for logistics in monitoring and reviewing security reports such as Nessus/Tenable; coordinate mitigation activities and procedures with local team and Bethesda-based associates; knowledge and experience with Tenable Security Center to provide support with running Tenable scans to confirm vulnerability status of systems; assist with preparing and tracking waivers for system exclusions. Knowledge of enterprise antivirus and vulnerability scanning solutions, such as McAfee, Nessus and Retina.
  • Linux Workstation Support - Provide technical support on Linux-based desktop/workstation systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and security patches/updates.
  • Desktop/Customer Support - Provide technical support on software, hardware, and operating systems (Macintosh, Windows and Linux), including installations, configurations, maintenance, troubleshooting, imaging new systems and processing outgoing surplus/donation systems, preparing GFE laptops and phones for international travel. Also includes printer support, setup/troubleshooting VoIP phones and setup/configuration/troubleshooting of government-provided mobile devices. Knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure, including Active Directory and Group Policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience supporting Linux applications
  • 2 years of experience supporting Windows applications
  • 2+ years of customer service experience

  • Desktop/Customer Support:
    • Provide technical support on software, hardware and operating systems (Linux, Macintosh, Windows), including installations, configurations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge about personal computers - desktops, laptops, hybrids. Also including BIOS and hardware configurations and drivers.
    • Remediate configuration management baseline and policy non-compliance and resolve security vulnerabilities.
    • Troubleshoot and support Microsoft (Office) 365 and Adobe products, also various scientific software applications.
    • Configure new computer systems and related peripherals for users.
    • Image new systems and process outgoing surplus/donation systems.
    • Prepare government-furnished laptops and phones for international travel.
    • Provide printer support, setup/troubleshoot VoIP phones.
    • Setup/configure/troubleshoot government-provided mobile devices.
    • Assist with Microsoft Lync phone and Skype usage.
    • Basic network troubleshooting on a TCP/IP network.
    • Providing remote customer support via multiple methods.

Education:

  • Highschool Diploma or higher
