JOB TITLE Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician
PURPOSE To provide exceptional service to our customers by preparing and delivering recreational vehicles (RVs).
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a summary of the work for this position and is not intended to be all inclusive.
1. Prepare RVs prior to delivery by thoroughly cleaning interior and exterior, performing minor repairs, installing parts and accessories, and conducting inspections to ensure proper functionality and safety.
2. Demonstrate and explain RV system operations such as gas, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, chassis/towing, generators, appliances, and exterior and interior components, etc.
3. Educate customers on RV safety, care, and preventative maintenance.
4. Thoroughly understand products to answer questions and address concerns promptly, appropriately, and confidently.
5. Follow policies, procedures, guidance, and training to perform all work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
6. Provide excellent customer service by anticipating needs and using active listening and personalized interactions to help customers.
7. Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and appearance.
9. Complete other duties and tasks assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Hand tool proficiency with the mechanical aptitude for maintenance and repair.
The ability to troubleshoot, identify, and explain the root cause of problems with little guidance.
Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Consistent and reliable work ethic.
Effective communication and people skills.
Good overall strength, endurance, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity in differing weather conditions to complete physical activities like climbing, balancing, lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, crawling into tight spaces, reaching, and manipulating hands and tools with precision, and carrying heavy items.
