Are you a mortgage underwriter and interested in working remotely?
Highly successful mortgage company is looking to add a Mortgage Underwriter to their close-knit team. This company operates in most states in the US, so remote work is option or Underwriter can work out of the corporate office in Western Montana.
Duties include:
Underwriting FHA and VA loans.
Review of loan packages for completeness, accuracy and loan viability.
Review/calculate qualifying income for borrowers, including complex self-employed borrows and personal/business tax returns.
Review credit reports to determine if borrowers meet credit requirements.
Review appraisals to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Determine conditions for loan acceptance.
Work hand-in-hand with loan processors and originators to ensure conditions are completed and cleared.
Help others to ensure information is accurate and in compliance with guidelines, policies and requirements.
FHA/VA Underwriter should have two years recent underwriting experience. FHA DE Certification required. VA LAPP/SAR Certification preferred. Encompass LOS experience desired.
