THE GLACIER SYMPHONY IS SEEKING A DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

The Development and Operations Director (D&O) reports to the Glacier Symphony Board of Directors and works closely with the Executive Artistic Director. The D&O is responsible for the business and administrative operations of the Glacier Symphony. The candidate oversees the Symphony's donor relations program, develops and manages fundraising initiatives, and builds a robust team for our organization. DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the fundraising and development activities of the Glacier Symphony

Manage staffing of Individual Donor and Business Partnership Committees

Represent the Glacier Symphony at all concerts, special events, fundraisers, etc.

Oversee daily business and administrative operations of the Glacier Symphony

Oversee all aspects of the Symphony's operating budget (currently $700,000/year)

o Development of annual budget

o Compliance

o Interface with Board Treasurer

Oversee content and production of the Glacier Symphony Annual Report

Plan and implement logistics and activities essential to the mission and programs of the GS

Cultivate Board Relations - communications, meetings, planning, committees

Qualifications and Experience

High proficiency with donor database management and computer-based office programs

Experience with nonprofit financial management, accounting, and budgeting

Experience with supervising staff and working as a team

Working knowledge and understanding of staff roles and Board interface

Engaging public speaking and personal communication skills

Practical social skills, discretion, and confidentiality

Available to work nights and weekends as necessary

Reports to the Symphony's Board of Directors and works closely with its Executive Artistic Director

Hours: Full-time, non-exempt

Recommended salary: $50,000+ DOE
