PARTIAL LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or HiSET equivalency diploma required.

Bachelor's degree in human services, communications or related field, or equivalent education/experience preferred.

Previous experience working with the GUTS! Program preferred.

Experience in facilitation, teamwork and project management preferred.

Experience working with youth preferred.

Experience leading outdoor trips preferred.

Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.

Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other staff, agencies and professionals in the community.

Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals, including peers, supervisors, team members, and participants.

Willingness to take responsibility for his/her part in communication breakdowns and to work toward resolution of resulting

problems.

Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance in compliance with Montana state law.

Must pass a background check designed to protect the interest of families served by YWCA programs.

PARTIAL LIST OF DUTIES

Planning for and implementation of GUTS! programing for girls ages 9-18 in the Missoula area. This includes school year action

groups, as well as summer outdoor adventure trips.

Coordinate partnerships with school personnel and Flagship Youth Development Coordinators to schedule and recruit for

semester-long programs.

Coordinate recruitment, selection and evaluation of volunteers for YWCA programs.

Leads six-day, five-night GUTS! summer outdoor adventure trips. Co-facilitate all trip activities with GUTS! trip volunteers and

youth leaders.

Represents the YWCA in the community, including public speaking engagements.

Recruitment, training and support for community volunteer group facilitators.

Assist program manager with volunteer training provided twice annually.

Assist with high school empowerment groups, Girls Representing in Trades (GRIT) programming, and community project

opportunities when needed.

Assist Program Manager in planning and running the annual fundraising film festival, LUNAFEST.

Assist program manager in writing and reporting on grant funding sources for the GUTS! Program.

Implements and applies evaluation tools to ensure GUTS! is providing the best services possible.

Research and write relevant curriculum for all GUTS! programming.

HOURS/DAYS: Full-time, 40 hours per week, to be discussed at interview.

WAGE: $13.00/hour.

DEGREE: High school diploma or HiSET equivalency diploma required. Bachelor's degree in human services, communications or related field, or equivalent education/experience preferred.
