The Tour Costume Stock Maintenance Technician works with direct supervision from the Staff Costumer to ensure that all costume pieces sent on the road for MCT's International Tour Project are in proper condition.
This person must have strong sewing skills: everything from minor repairs on garments to complete costume rebuilds. Patterning and drafting skills desired. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders, walk up and down stairs, operate scissors for long periods, and sit or stand for extended periods of time. Time and project management is critical. Industrial sewing machine experience/skills are a plus. He/she must also have computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and will use both the Patron Manager database and Drop Box.
The successful candidate will have also have exceptional organizational skills and be able to be a self-starter as well as a team player. This person is motivated, is an excellent communicator and will maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
