JOB SUMMARY: The Flagship Program is a community-school partnership that enhances the social, academic, cultural and physical achievement of Missoula's youth by creating opportunities that help them to succeed and grow to become healthy and productive adults.
Duties include development, scheduling and oversight of after-school programs for all students enrolled in Flagship. Position also involves recruitment and supervision of volunteers and community partner instructors who conduct after-school and summer programming for The Flagship Program. Position will work closely with school faculty and staff in arranging programs and recruiting student participants. Coordinator may be required to attend school staff meetings. Other responsibilities include attendance at The Flagship Program's administrative meetings at Western Montana Mental Health Center. Position is responsible for enrolling students, tracking program attendance, and reporting data to the Flagship Director, including grant-specific reporting requirements as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities: At least three years of experience working with young people, families and youth service agencies. Experience working in program development desired and/or experience in a school setting is preferred. Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and should demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as within a team. Ideal candidate will also demonstrate an ability to interact with adults and young people in a positive manner.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field, and/or demonstrated, relevant and equivalent experience in human service and/or working with youth.
